Churyl Elgart is an independent Calgary-based mediator, arbitrator, and lawyer with more than two decades of experience resolving complex municipal, land use, development, expropriation, and commercial disputes across Alberta. She is listed on the Government of Alberta’s official Mediator, Arbitrator, and Med-Arb rosters for municipal dispute resolution.

Before establishing her independent ADR practice, Churyl practiced with major national law firms including Borden Ladner Gervais LLP and Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt LLP. Her dispute resolution work focuses on practical, collaborative outcomes grounded in evidence, law, and clear decision-making.

Churyl has extensive experience in:

She is a member of ADR Institute of Alberta (ADRIA), ADR Institute of Canada (ADRIC), the Alberta Expropriation Association, and the Canadian Bar Association Municipal Law Section.
